Aaron went to the temple for the first time on Saturday. It was such a tender moment. We were joined by his grandpa Allen Proctor, uncles Dave and Matt Proctor, aunts Ann-Marie and Melanie Proctor. And dear friends Brent and Muriel Frank, Jeff Pulley, Kim Pedersen, and Preston Sharp. Brian's comment "This means he is getting closer to leaving us" rang so true that night! Aaron was so excited for this new adventure. I don't think I can put into words how grown up he looked. Ever since we purchased his suit he looks like a missionary. Time is moving too slow for him and too fast for us. On one hand I want him to be gone so he can come home again... :-) on the other hand I savor each moment because I know it will never be quite the same again. Once he returns from his mission he will be ready to start his own life- as he should. Therefore we try to enjoy each of those moments as much as possible. The day was snowy and cold, yet we carried a warmth in our heart that stems from loving family and friends! And of course the spicy food that we ate afterwards. The sweet Thai owner brought Aaron a special treat for going on his mission to Thailand!
